Value of a beautiful smile

A beautiful smile is one of the most important human expressions. It communicates happiness, makes attractive and radiates youth. Attractive people are rated and treated better by others than unattractive people. They are associated with a higher social status and they are viewed as more intelligent, interesting and trustworthy. The attractiveness of the smile has an influence on the outcome of job interviews, voting decisions and other social interactions. Investigations prove that attractive people have a higher income and lead more successful lives than the average.

We professionally support you during the realization of your desires.

Young Esthetics Award

In 2012, Dr. Sebastian Horvath was honoured with the Young Esthetics Award 2012 by the German Association for Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ).

Excerpt DGÄZ press release, dated 11.05.2012

Just how much potential there is in esthetic dentistry in the young generation of dentists is shown in the annual presentation of the DGÄZ Young Esthetics’ Award, donated by dentist Wolfgang-M. Boer to encourage the upcoming generation of dentists. In 2012, Dr. Sebastian Horvath was awarded the prize for clearly convincing the jury with a very successful case treatment design and implementation. Traditionally, the award winner is allowed to present the submitted case or a different one from their treatment spectrum at the INTERNA to the DGÄZ members. Dr. Horvath, who said he “felt very honoured by the unique possibility to present to this very special auditorium”, chose the second option and was just as convincing as with his first one, confidently showing high quality photo documentation and a brilliant presentation of his theme and his cases solved.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, fully ceramic “faces” which are esthetically convincing in the long run in many dental, esthetic and cosmetic indications, such as:

  • change of tooth shape
  • tooth lengthening
  • whitening of teeth
  • correction of mal-position

Since veneers are produced in very thin materials it is not necessary to file the teeth down as much as you have to with conventional crowns. In certain cases you can even do without filing altogether.

Treatment procedure

Before starting the treatment we perform an esthetic analysis which is evaluated according to certain parameters showing the visual effects of the teeth in accordance with your mouth and your face. The results are discussed in a detailed consultation afterwards. Together we draw up preliminary designs for your future. Since we aim to achieve the best tailor-made treatment success, the potential result will be simulated in a wax model and once again discussed by dentist and patient.

When preparing the teeth, a projection helps to respect the wanted ultimate treatment result. This makes sure the ideal projection will be achieved and avoids filing healthy tooth substance. In the next step, the veneers are produced and integrated into your jaw.

Bleaching

Effect of the tooth colour

Light-coloured teeth have a positive effect on the esthetic appearance and make a face look young and vital.

Reasons for tooth discolouration

The most common reasons for tooth discolouration are stain particles in food and beverages such as coffee, tee, red wine or tobacco. These stain particles remain on the tooth surface and gradually sink into the enamel.

Bleaching procedure

The bleaching procedure using special substances brightens up unsightly colour pigments in the enamel. Depending on the cause and intensity of the tooth discolouration, there are different techniques available.
