Mikroskopische Wurzelkanalbehandlungen

Root canal treatment

A root canal treatment is necessary in the cases of inflamed or even necrotic pulpa. The cause of this is bacteria entering the pulpa through tooth decay or an accident affecting the teeth. The infection hurts, the patient has trouble chewing and a hot/cold sensitivity – still, in some cases the inflammation even remains undiscovered. A root canal treatment is the final attempt to save the diseased teeth. During the root canal treatment the inflamed pulpa will be removed, the resulting cavity is disinfected and tightly sealed afterwards. Using the latest technology this treatment is highly successful.

Diagnostics

Thorough clinical examination and enquiry of the patient’s individual wishes and desires.

Planning

In addition to the current literature, our long experience in complex cases builds the foundation for the individual treatment planning process.

Consultation

Extensive consultation in which we take time in order to explain the advantages and disadvantages of different treatment options.

Treatment

Modern treatment methods are promptly integrated into our office.

Long-term success

After conclusion of the treatment an individual recall-program is developed that takes individual risks into account.

Interdisciplinary treatment case with Invisalign and veneers

Treatment result in a patient whose too small teeth were at first moved to their correct positions using invisible orthodontic splints (Invisalign). Subsequently, the teeth were widened using all-ceramic veneers.

Complex treatment case

Treatment sequence of a complex treatment case. Initially the old insufficient restorations were replaced. This was followed by the placement of long-term provisional restorations in order to test-drive the future situation over a longer period of time. Parallel to this missing teeth were replaced with implants. The final reconstruction was performed using full-ceramic single restorations.

Replacement of a missing upper molar

Treatment sequence for the replacement of a missing upper first molar with an implant-supported crown. At the beginning of the treatment the available bone volume was analyzed using a three-dimensional x-ray (cone beam computed tomography, CBCT). The ideal implant position was planned on the computer prior to the surgery. This allowed for a predictable and minimally invasive placement of the implant. As the bone volume was limited towards the maxillary sinus, a minimally invasive bone graft was performed in the same surgery. After a healing period of three months the final full-ceramic implant-supported crown was fabricated.

Weitere Informationen ▸
