Coronavirus

Information about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in our practice.

We update this information continuously and always up to date.

We are facing this health crisis with due care and respect, but also calmness and professionalism. We are closely monitoring and assessing the situation regarding COVID-19, especially in the border region and in the greater Zurich area. For this purpose, we are in personal contact with the responsible authorities.

Current situation regarding the coronavirus in the district of Waldshut

The health of our patients as well as the employees of our practice is our highest priority. In general, as a medical company, we deal professionally with the protection against infections on a daily basis. We are appropriately trained and technically prepared for this.

Crossing the border for treatment with us is possible on a regular basis. We update this information continuously and always up to date.

What we do to protect you and ourselves

All members of our team are vaccinated against COVID-19.

We test our entire team for Corona infection twice a week with rapid tests.

Upon entering the office, we currently take the body temperature of everyone who enters the office with a non-contact clinical thermometer. This applies to both patients and employees of the practice.

Our team wears FFP2 mouth protection at all times.

Patients are required to wear masks outside of the treatment rooms.

Appointment scheduling

If you have an acute problem, please call us in advance. We will then already try to identify the cause as accurately as possible over the phone and then give you an appointment directly for the necessary treatment.

We have created on our website the possibility to send us safely pictures and questions. You can find these possibilities in the contact menu.

If you need more than one treatment, we will try to combine them in the longest possible appointment.

Does 2G or 3G apply in practice? Do I need a test certificate for treatment?

As a medical company, we are committed to the health of our patients. Regardless of their corona status. You do not need a vaccination, convalescent or test certificate to come to our practice. The same is true for border crossing. 

Self control at home

If you complain of symptoms of coronavirus infection (fever, cough, breathing problems, muscle pain, nausea), we ask you to call us in advance. We will then assess the situation together.

If possible, we recommend that you take a temperature at home before your scheduled appointment. A temperature of up to 37.4°C is normal.

If you have been infected, dental treatment is possible again from 4 weeks after the infection has been detected.

Your arrival at our practice

When you enter the practice, we currently measure the body temperature of everyone who enters the practice with a non-contact clinical thermometer. This applies to both patients and employees of the practice. Normal body temperature is up to 37.4°C.

Please disinfect your hands when entering the practice. Appropriate dispensers with disinfectant are available.

We ask you to arrive at the practice as punctually as possible for your scheduled appointment in order to avoid long waiting times.

If you like, you can also wait in the car. We will then pick you up there at the start of treatment.

Current information on the border crossing Switzerland - Germany

Crossing the border into Germany for dental treatment with us or to go shopping is possible regularly and without restrictions.

Classification Switzerland high risk area

Crossing the border into Germany for dental treatment with us or to go shopping is possible.

As of December 6, the Robert Koch Institute classifies Switzerland as a Corona high-risk area due to the epidemiological situation. This has consequences for the border crossing.

Entry notification form / 24h rule

For border crossings up to 24h no electronic registration of entry is required. FAQ entry regulation point registration, exception 5. For entries longer than 24h the form must be filled out, and a 3G proof must be uploaded.

What are the regulations for vaccinated and recovered persons?

With a proof of a complete vaccination with a vaccine approved in the EU or the proof of an overcame infection in the last 6 months, the border crossing is possible without restrictions.

What regulations apply to unvaccinated persons?

When crossing the border, proof of a current test must be carried. PCR test max. 72h, antigen rapid test max. 24h.

What regulations apply to children?

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from all verification requirements.

Transfer from Germany to Switzerland

Since September 20, 2021, there are stricter regulations for entering Switzerland. However, these do not apply to the immediate border regions.

“Persons entering Switzerland from areas on the border with which there is close economic, social and cultural exchange” are exempt from the regulations. Covid-19 Regulation Measures in the field of international movement of persons.

You do not need a Covid certificate to return to Switzerland if you have been with us.

You do not need to fill out an entry form if you were with us.

The same rules apply to purchases.

We are happy about every new patient who wants to come to us. Our practice specializes in the areas of beautiful and straight teeth, as well as high-tech dentistry. We will gladly try to find the best appointment for you. 

Your first appointment with us

What is done?

At the first treatment appointment, a clinical examination is performed regarding the health of your gums, tooth structure, functional as well as aesthetic criteria. For this purpose, we also take a general X-ray of your teeth and jaws. In addition to any current problems, we will give you an assessment of your individual risk in these areas in the future. Should treatment be necessary, this information together with your individual wishes and ideas will form the basis for the following treatment planning.

What does the first appointment cost?

In our practice, services are billed according to the guidelines of the German Scale of Fees for Dentists (GOZ). This provides for a remuneration of approx. 185€ for the above-mentioned services. If services are not necessary, they will not be charged. In certain cases it makes sense to carry out further diagnostics at the first appointment. In this way, we can save you follow-up appointments and, even in complex cases, can begin treatment at the next appointment. If this is the case for you, we will inform you about the costs on the spot.

Is treatment possible without individual diagnosis and planning?

We are a medical company and perform treatments that directly affect the health of our patients. We are aware of this responsibility and take it very seriously. Therefore, please note that treatment without prior diagnostics is generally not possible in our practice.

Appointments

Why are there waiting times for longer treatments?

Your time is very important to us. Therefore, whenever possible, we try to combine as many treatment steps as possible, even with several doctors, on one day. As a result, it may take a longer time until such an appointment is possible. Because we know how important prompt treatment is to our patients, we maintain a waiting list based on urgency and will contact you immediately if it is possible to bring the appointment forward. Emergency treatment, so that you are not in pain until the appointment, is of course possible in a timely manner.

Cancellation conditions

The time with our team is reserved especially for you on your appointments. The treatment can be cancelled free of charge up to two working days before the appointment. If you have to cancel at short notice, we will try to find a replacement. If this is not possible, or if you do not show up at the appointed time, 50% of the scheduled treatment cost will be charged.

How are services billed?

In our practice, services are billed according to the guidelines of the German Scale of Fees for Dentists (GOZ). The fee schedule is anchored in law and ensures that dental services are calculated fairly for everyone.

Cost plan

The treatment concept implemented is the main factor for differences in dental treatment prices. We create transparency in this regard in order to support you in your decision-making process as to which services you wish to receive from a cost perspective. Our basic goal is that our patients gain added value from the treatment. We will be happy to provide you with an individual cost plan for your treatment following the initial examination.

Can we prepare a cost plan without diagnostics?

The basis for the cost plan is which medical services are necessary in your individual case. We are a medical business and perform treatments that directly affect the health of our patients. We are aware of this responsibility and take it very seriously. Therefore, please note that it is generally not possible to prepare a cost plan in our practice without prior individual planning.

Can a flat rate be agreed for a treatment?

Fairness for all parties involved is of great concern to us. With regard to treatment costs, this can only be achieved if exactly those services are billed that are actually provided. We don’t want to be paid for services that we don’t actually provide. That would not be fair. At the same time, if additional services are required as part of a treatment, we will perform them. Even if this results in additional costs. Not performing a medical treatment just to keep a pre-calculated profit margin is not in line with our understanding of medical treatments.

How is the invoice issued?

In our practice, invoicing is done according to treatment phases. You will not receive the invoice directly from us, but from our billing partner. This allows you to pay the bill as you wish. At our practice in cash or by mobile phone/credit card. By bank transfer in € or CHF. By payment slip.

Is it possible to pay in installments?

Through our cooperation with a financial service provider, a free installment payment over 6 months is possible.

Emergency treatments

What we can do

We are a dental practice specializing in beautiful and straight teeth, as well as high-tech dentistry. We try to help wherever we can. However, please understand that our practice structure is completely different from that of a dental center with many doctors. Our days are planned far in advance and our patients expect us to start their treatments exactly when they are scheduled. Therefore, we are not always able to offer an appointment for emergency treatment. If you have acute pain, we advise you to contact a larger dental clinic, as they have special contingents and doctors only for acute emergency care.

Can teeth be removed immediately as an emergency?

We are a dental practice specializing in beautiful and straight teeth, as well as high-tech dentistry. Therefore, our practice structure does not allow us to remove teeth as emergency treatment.
