If a tooth is severely weakened by large fillings, decay, or a root canal treatment, a dental crown offers the best possible protection against fracture and loss.
For us, however, the crown is more than just a protective shell: it is an aesthetic masterpiece. Dr. Sebastian Horvath (Specialist in Prosthetics) places the highest value on ensuring that the new crown merges perfectly with your natural teeth in terms of color and function. The result is maximum stability and a natural aesthetic that is indistinguishable from the original. And the best part: We often fabricate your crown in just one appointment! In the following video, Dr. Sebastian Horvath explains exactly how the process works (be sure to turn on the sound in the bottom right of the video):
We give you the certainty that your result not only looks beautiful but is stable and lasts many years. Here you can view some of our exclusive before-and-after pictures of natural crown restorations that were fabricated in our practice in Jestetten. It often requires only a single session because we fabricate our crowns ourselves in our own in-house lab.
During the structured dental rehabilitation, decayed teeth were treated, missing teeth were replaced with implants, and severely damaged teeth were fitted with ceramic crowns. This has restored both function and aesthetics in a comprehensible manner.
First, the teeth were aligned and the bite corrected using orthodontic treatment (functional pre-treatment). This was followed by rehabilitation using ceramic crowns to ensure stable function and a harmonious appearance.
Teeth that had become shortened and sensitive due to acid damage were reconstructed in terms of shape and length using ceramic crowns. The result is protected chewing surfaces, stable function, and a natural-looking tooth alignment.
Crowns and dental bridges that no longer fit were removed and the situation was re-planned. Modern all-ceramic restorations were then fitted. The bite was precisely adjusted to achieve an aesthetic and long-term stable solution.
Gaps were closed with implants and severely worn teeth were reconstructed with crowns. This restored the shape and chewing conditions – with high chewing comfort and natural aesthetics.
Especially in prosthetic care, the experience of the practitioner is crucial for accuracy of fit and longevity. We are an owner-managed practice that deliberately focuses on perfecting function and aesthetics. No rotating dentists work here, but certified specialists hand in hand.
With us, this means: Interdisciplinary experience and a result secured by digital planning. We minimize risk and maximize stability by relying on the expertise of Dr. Sebastian Horvath, Specialist in Prosthetics (DGPro) and the direct in-house fabrication under the supervision of Dr. Domonkos Horvath with 30 years of CAD CAM experience. Any practice can place crowns, but planning competence and a consistent, modern workflow are decisive. We combine high-tech with proven prosthetic expertise.
The choice of the optimal restoration – whether Inlay, Onlay, or Dental Crown – is primarily dependent on the size of the defect, whereby we always prioritize the most substance-preserving solution. The Inlay serves as an insert filling for the correction of smaller defects in the center of the tooth. If the defect is already larger, the Onlay (Partial Crown) is used, which covers larger parts of the biting surface and protects the tooth walls. Only when the tooth is severely weakened and the defect is too large to ensure stable restoration does the Crown (Full Coverage) become necessary. Regardless of the chosen solution, we fabricate all these restorations in our practice from highly aesthetic Full Ceramic for maximum stability and perfect aesthetics.
In the case shown, old fillings were replaced with inlays and onlays. From left to right, the first and third teeth were treated with inlays. The second and fourth teeth received an onlay/partial-crown.
We rely almost exclusively on full ceramic crowns (metal-free), as they meet the highest standards in aesthetics and compatibility – combined with unique efficiency:
Thanks to our in-house fabrication, waiting times for the external lab are eliminated. You often receive your crown in a single appointment, without the need for an annoying temporary restoration.
Ceramic is translucent like your natural tooth enamel. The crown reflects light in the same way, allowing it to seamlessly blend into the dental arch.
Full ceramic is absolutely biocompatible. Since no metal core is used, no unsightly, dark crown margin develops on the gums, even after years.
Our multiple intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM workflow with mills and sintering furnaces keep every step under control, reducing handoffs and making visits efficient and outcomes reliable.

Maximum quality with minimal time expenditure: Our digitized process is focused on your comfort. Your new crowns are fabricated immediately by us while you wait briefly. You benefit from optimal time management and no more temporary restorations:

We create a digital scan of your tooth (no more unpleasant impressions!) and plan the optimal shape and position of the crown.

What patients ask us most frequently.
No. One of our biggest advantages is the in-house fabrication. In most cases, we can complete and directly place your crown in just one appointment.
With good oral hygiene and regular professional care, a high-quality full ceramic crown often lasts 15 to 20 years or longer. Longevity strongly depends on the precise fit and the expertise in fabrication – both are standard for us.
Yes, these cases are an important part of our specialization. We often receive inquiries from patients who are not satisfied with the aesthetic or functional result of a prior treatment elsewhere. Thanks to our interdisciplinary expertise, we specialize in analyzing complex or faulty preparatory work and planning a new, permanently stable and aesthetic solution. Start with a well-founded second opinion from us.
No. We work according to the principle of minimally invasive preparation. Only as much tooth substance is removed as is necessary for the stability and aesthetics of the crown.
No. The preparation and fitting are performed painlessly under local anesthesia. Thanks to our digital scanner, the unpleasant gagging sensation during impression taking is also eliminated.
Choosing Dr. Horvarth for my complete dental restoration was one of my best decisions. Dr. Horvarth is not only a personable and upbeat person but also a great specialist in his field. I hardly had any pain during the whole treatment. I am very satisfied and overjoyed with the result. I felt that I was in good hands at the practice. Big praise and thanks to the whole team.
Once again I was looked after in a wonderful way in the ultra-modern & professional practice of Dr. Horvath. The extensive specialist knowledge, the modern treatment methods and the efficiency of the staff and Dr. Horvath personally are particularly impressive.
Here, even a visit to the dentist is a pleasure every time and the end result is more than satisfactory!
I can warmly recommend the Horvath dental practice 100%!
I luckily found Dr. Horvath's family dental practice on the Internet and the website really appealed to me.
I am a very critical and sensitive person and I had a dental phobia. I actually only wanted to have a dental filling, but when I made my first appointment with Dr. Sebastian Horvath, I felt very comfortable and competently advised. I therefore had a lot of confidence and decided to have a complete dental restoration: Two bridges, 8 implants and all teeth re-crowned.
It has been very worthwhile for me because it is a great new quality of life for my overall health.
I am very happy and glad that I entrusted myself to Dr. Sebastian Horvath. He has exceeded my expectations. I am very grateful to Dr. Sebastian Horvath and his highly qualified team.
Anyone who finds Dr. Sebastian Horvath can count themselves lucky!
I am very happy.
With gratitude, A. Portmann
As a patient of Dr. Horvath, I can only share the best experiences. From the first appointment to the end, everything went as discussed. Also the good care, the honest trust makes every procedure successful.
I thank Dr. Horvath and the whole team very much that I can count myself among your patients.
Can't recommend it enough!
Background: I have struggled with a problem molar since I was a teenager and have seen several dentists over the years. I had this tooth removed and an implant placed in my home country. Corona came and due to travel restrictions the treatment was delayed, resulting in the implant healing in the wrong position and the tooth behind it cracking, making it impossible to attach a crown to it.
The solution: Dr. Horvath was able to come up with a long-term plan to solve the problem once and for all, and with the help of his lovely wife, we were able to create the necessary space for a crown, remove the implant, and place a brand new, custom-made bridge that was 3D printed literally in three hours. Part of it while I was pregnant.
This is a family practice that really cares about its patients. I have often come to my appointments alone with my baby and have always been warmly welcomed. Everything is planned so that it can be done in as few appointments as possible. As an expat in Switzerland, the reason I originally had treatment done in my home country was the cost of dentistry here. My treatment with Dr. Horvath (including an orthodontic treatment with his wife to align the teeth before the final bridge placement) was mostly covered by my supplementary health insurance in Switzerland, and in the end the whole treatment (including the aesthetic orthodontic treatment!) was cheaper than if I had traveled to my home country to have it done. I was missing a tooth for almost 5 years, and Dr. Horvath gave me brand new teeth in just a few hours :)
If you are considering going to Dr. Horvath for a checkup, stop thinking and just do it! I guarantee you won't regret it!!!
Excellent work, modern and efficient, reliable, friendly, highly recommended in every respect!
I have been with Dr. Horvath (senior and junior) for many years. Great doctors and team. The treatment is of the highest quality and utilizes the latest technology and expertise.
Flexible appointments arranged so that you waste as little time as possible so you don't come back. Excellent, friendly reception at the front desk, same goes for all the doctors and dental hygienists on staff. Dr. Sebastian Horvath was just great, professional, after a diagnosis of my dental situation everything was done in no time. Although I speak German, I was pleased to be welcomed and treated in English. Everything is high tech, probably a bit more expensive, but compared to dentist prices in Switzerland, which are neither insured nor prohibitive, the value for money is remarkable. All in all, it's a win-win relationship. Highly recommended and many thanks to the team at Horvarth

The overall experience is indescribable. It has to be experienced.
I was lucky enough to find Dr. Sebastian Horvath as my dentist (30 minutes from Zurich). His competence and expertise are excellent and I feel I am in the best hands with him. He takes the time to explain EVERYTHING.
The practice itself is also impressive. State-of-the-art technology and equipment are in place and Dr. Horvath and his team use them to provide the best possible care. It's relaxing to know that I'm in good hands here.
I can only recommend Dr. Sebastian Horvath and his team. If you are looking for a competent and modern dental practice, you have definitely come to the right place. Thank you very much for the excellent care, Dr. Horvath!
Professional competence, equipment of the practice, friendly staff. All in all, I feel very well looked after here. I have the utmost confidence in this practice. That's why I can only give it 5 stars!
