A dental office produces a lot of waste. To a certain amount this cannot be avoided, as a lot of products that come into contact with patients are single-use.
In areas in which it is possible, however, we try to reduce the amount of waste and thus relieve the environment. A major factor in this context is the sterilization and storage of the instruments used for the dental treatments. Usually, the instruments are cleaned and individually packed in order to keep them clean and sterile until the treatment.
In order to reduce the resulting amount of waste from the single packaging, we invested in a tray and container-system for cleaning and storage. Here, multiple instruments are combined in trays during sterilization and a special, reusable container keeps the instruments sterile during storage. That way we can fulfill the highest hygiene criteria, without putting the burden of single packaging on the environment.
